Mormon Transhumanist Association to Present at Sunstone Symposium West

Lincoln Cannon will represent the Mormon Transhumanist Association at the Sunstone Symposium West in San Francisco on 21 April at 2PM in the Clarion Hotel, San Francisco Airport.

Lincoln will present the paper "Transfiguration: Parallels and Complements between Mormonism and Transhumanism", which is the cover article for the April 2007 issue of Sunstone magazine. Dan Wotherspoon, Executive Director of Sunstone Education Foundation, will respond.

	Lincoln Cannon said: Thank, Michael. This will be the second time the MTA has presented at the Sunstone Symposium. We also presented in August of 2006 at the Sunstone Symposium in Salt Lake City. It went well, and some current members of the MTA first became acquainted with us at that conference. I anticipate that this one will be perhaps somewhat better attended than the first presentation because Dan Wotherspoon, the editor of Sunstone, will be responding to our presentation. He has thirteen years of professional experience in information technology, working primarily for companies in the systems management industry, such as Symantec and Novell. He holds a masters degree in business administration and a bachelors degree in philosophy from Brigham Young University.
