Would it be appropriate or meaningful to have a thread where we could keep track of some of the better quotes from scientists or anyone else. I have an Einstein quote of the day as a google gadget and I always get something out of it. I'm sure most of us have a favourite source of 10 second sound bites. I would like to see what everyone else thinks is an important thought.

I think it's a great idea.  I don't really have any good quotes, unless I go poke around for some in peoples' signatures on the various fora I visit, but I'll keep my eyes out for good ones, and would love to see what other people post.

That sounds good, Kathy. For those that are particularly supportive of the vision we advocate at the MTA, we could also add them to the "Faith" blog, where we've already been collecting quotes.

Where everyone can vote on how the list should be ordered.

 

And of course, you can canonize this list based on Mormons, the general population, or whatever.

 

Let's create a list and then decide what to do with it, OK? I think some quotes could be faith promoting, others thought provoking or others just to make you feel good about life.
